Make one shared handover record
Before unpacking in a Pune home, walk through the property with the owner or agent where possible. Photograph existing damage and list the appliances included with the home. Keep observations factual: a cupboard door does not close, a tap drips or an appliance shows a particular error. A dated record is more useful than a general statement that the property needs maintenance.
Separate permission from scheduling
Agree who is responsible for each item and who can approve an estimate. This is particularly useful when a tenant requests a visit but a landlord will pay for work. Keep the agreement with the handover documents. A service booking does not decide responsibilities under your tenancy arrangement.
Organise tasks by the right trade
Furniture assembly, plumbing and appliance repairs may need different professionals and separate appointments. Make a short list by room, then group each item by service type. Explain access restrictions, building entry requirements and any permitted working hours. Do not book several unrelated tasks under one appliance service and assume they are included.
Build a useful home folder
Save model numbers, manuals, warranty documents, approved estimates and completion reports. Record what was actually repaired and what remains outstanding. For future visits, keep the full address and contact number current; changing buildings within Pune can also change appointment availability.
Browse home services and check each requested service against your new address. Start with a clear scope and review the available price and appointment before confirming work.
